Citizen of the Week

"The First Friday Book Club of the library nominates Elaine Katchelmyer as COW. Elaine, as librarian, started the book club 16 years ago and has facilitated and nurtured it until today it numbers a lucky thirteen members.

"Elaine's wise and patient guidance has brought a variety of services to the club: ordering large print books and books on CD for members with low vision; conducting after-hours groups who wish to continue the discussion; and showing movies of books members especially liked.

"Elaine also taught expert and creative Spanish classes. We will miss her and hope she will continue as a 'Bookie' member and as part of the lunch bunch."
