Citizen of the Week

"I nominate Pat Matsukis because she was the driving force behind a Public Facility Board referendum petition that eventually led to the successful special election held Feb. 8.

"Most people saw Pat out in the public gathering signatures and explaining the issue to anyone who would listen. What people didn't see were the countless hours of work behind the scenes coordinating, telephoning, emailing, and attending meetings.

"Her Can-Do attitude and optimism on this issue kept the momentum going and spirits of volunteers up. She worked tirelessly on this important matter and the people of Carroll County owe her a big Thank You."
