Citizen of the Week

Katie Marie Gammill is going to Washington D.C. as part of the National Young Leaders Conference due to her academic excellence and because of the family, friends, neighbors, businesses and virtual strangers who rallied to provide funds and plane tickets.

"They are the real Citizens of the Week," said her nominators. "Being chosen to attend is no small feat -- and raising funds for this trip has been nothing short of a miracle. In April, Katie will leave on the journey of a lifetime because the community we are blessed to be part of showed a young lady with a bright future the Yellow Brick Road."
