Jerry George, a resident of Holiday Island, was born April 7, 1933 in Greencastle, Mo., a son of Carlos and Mildred (McFarland) George. He passed away at Brighton Ridge Nursing and Rehab Center in Eureka Springs on Monday, Feb. 14, at the age of 77.
Jerry was a member of St. Martin's Episcopal Church in Detroit, Mich. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Jerry was a past Master of his Masonic Lodge #151 in Farmington, Mich. He was a Shriner, High Priest of the Royal Arch Masons, and a member of the Council R. & S.M. He worked for and retired from Ford Motor Company as a line inspector.
On June 11, 1955, Jerry was united in marriage with Edith (Campbell) who survives him of the home. He is also survived by one brother, Edward George and wife, Linda, of Mich.; two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Colwell and Bobbie Cosby, both of Holiday Island, Ark.; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other loved ones and friends.
Interment was in the Springfield National Cemetery.
