Norman Leroy Campbell of Eureka Springs was born November 19, 1941 in Rulo, Neb., a son of Homer and Leota (Eckley) Campbell. He died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011 in Eureka Springs, at the age of 69.
Norman served his country in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. He attended the Assembly of God Church in Eureka Springs. He was also a member of the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska and the American Legion Post # 0102.
He is survived by his life partner, Shirley Diaz of the home in Eureka Springs; one son, Leroy "Bo" Campbell of Omaha, Neb.; two daughters, Tina and husband, Ronald Waggoner, of Falls City, Neb., and Rhonda and husband, Mike Lippold, of Falls City, Neb.; one brother, Leon "Mick" Campbell of Falls City, Neb.; two sisters, Janice Ramer of Reserve, Kan., and Pat King of Havensville, Kan.; one sister-in-law, Sharon Campbell of Belles, Texas; several nieces and nephews; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; another son and daughter, James L. Peniska of Belleview, Neb., and Kristen L. Peniska of Nev.; and a host of other friends and relatives. He was also formerly married to Nina Anno Campbell who also survives him.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
Memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 12, at the Church of the Nazarene in Falls City, Neb., with Rev. Bill Shipman officiating. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service, Inc.
