Sammy Joe "Wojo" Moppin, a resident of Eureka Springs, was born July 8, 1974 in Huntsville, Arkansas, a son of Sammy K. and Cheryl Ann (Smith) Moppin. He departed this life Tuesday, April 12 at his home in Eureka Springs, at the age of 36.
Sammy worked as a pallet jack operator for Tyson Foods and also played on the Tyson Softball Team.
On October 31, 1995, Sammy was united in marriage with Angel Marie Kyzer, who survives him of the home.
He is also survived by four daughters, Erika Estes of South Dakota, Jazaline Moppin, Morgan Moppin and Sierra Moppin all of Eureka Springs; one son, Dakota Moppin of Eureka Springs; two sisters, Ashley Galbrath of Missouri and Krystal Wilson of Berryville; one brother, Nathan Moppin of Missouri; mother, Cheryl Moppin of Eureka Springs; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends and loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sammy K. Moppin.
Graveside memorial service were April 19, 2011 at Marshall Cemetery in Forum, Arkansas, with Tim Garrison officiating. Interment followed the service in the Marshall Cemetery.
