He attended Eureka Springs Schools, was a member of the First Baptist Penn Memorial Church in Eureka Springs. Howard also proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
Howard is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Michele and Andy Jenkins, and one grandchild, Jacob Jenkins, all of Rogersville, Mo.; a son, Drew; his parents, Lola and McKinley Weems; two brothers, Arlie Weems and Donnie Weems and wife Mary; four sisters, Diane and husband, Larry McClelland; Karen and husband, Dave Grulkey; and Terri Weems all of Eureka Springs; and Sandra and husband, Larry Clark, of Fort Smith, Ark.; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Weems Kelley and a beloved daughter, Regina Weems, who passed away at the young age of 25 in 2006.
Memorial Services were August 17 at Nelson's Chapel of the Springs with Bro. Vernon Payne Officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service, Inc.
