Eureka school board to look at new state-mandated teacher evaluation system

EUREKA SPRINGS -- The Eureka Springs School Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, with full agenda.

Action items on the agenda include a vote on the "Exit Policy for Gifted and Talented Program" document; a plan to upgrade wireless equipment at the elementary and middle schools; a vote on the state's graduating senior scholarship program, AR Promise; a vote on a committee to oversee the disposition of the old high school; and a vote on the creation of a board finance study group.

Information items include an update on the new high school; an overview of the new, rigorous teacher evaluation program mandated by the state; the superinentendent's and principals' reports; and the financial report.

The meeting will take place at the administration office at 147 Greenwood Hollow Rd. The public is welcome to attend.
