She was preceded in death by her husband, Ross Sackett, and son, David Sackett. Skip lived in Eureka Springs from 1978-84, and was a member of the Eureka Springs School Board. She and her husband restored a dozen homes here, and she was instrumental in the founding of the Friends of the Library.
She is survived by son, Scott and wife Sandy of Springdale, Ark.; daughter Cynthia Haberman and husband Rick of Detroit, Mich.; daughter Amy Guthrie and husband Ross of Minneapolis, Minn.; son Stuart and wife Terrie of Pittsburgh, Penn.; a dozen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Skip was cherished by a wide circle of friends, who loved her generous nature and sense of whimsy. A memorial is planned in the spring. Donations may be made to the Carnegie Public Library.
