"Gerry Toler moved to Eureka Springs in 1999 from Springfield, Mo., and switched to digital photography, from film, in 2007. The switch left him with a wide array of vintage Nikon lenses he couldn't use on a DSLR DX body.

"Photographer Ron Lutz told Toler that Chip Ford had his equipment stolen a couple of years back and that Ford used old primes on his DSLR FX. Ford received an email from Toler with a listing of lenses, including a 24mm f/2.8 -- Ford's favorite.

"Chip was strapped for cash and Toler said to pay him whenever. I nominate Gerry, for excellent photos and compassionate actions."
