Lucky Elder, 44, of Eagle Rock, Mo., died Sunday, January 22 at his home. He was born August 20, 1967 in Harrison, Ark., to the late Lucky Elder and Peggy Buckaloo.
Lucky was a proud Marine, serving in Panama and Iraq in the first Gulf War after his enlistment at the age of 18. Following his honorable discharge in 1992, he settled down in Eagle Rock to care for his family in the home on the lake he had always dreamed about.
He was a loving man with a giving heart who protected everyone he loved.
Lucky was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy and his father, Lucky. He is survived by his wife, Tina; his five children, Skyler, Erica, Lucky G., Angel, and Samuel Elder; three brothers, ABear Elder, George Ralph, and James Ralph; and three sisters, Colleen Bingham, Lilly Henry and Emma Crocket.
A funeral service will be held for Lucky at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 28, at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers with a visitation Thursday, Jan. 26 from 4 -- 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Gravette directly following the funeral.
