Citizen of the Week

Wednesday, February 1, 2012

Occupy Eureka Springs nominates Isis Gerschultz for Citizen of the Week. Our youngest demonstrator is a 4th grader at ESES and has recently joined the group on Tuesday afternoons on Wall Street.

Her interest in the movement was sparked by news reports and conversations with family and friends, and the idea to personally participate has been solely her own.

She recently traveled to Kansas City to visit Occupy protesters there, and tried unsuccessfully to visit Occupy San Francisco while on a trip to the West Coast.

Last week Isis baked and served delicious cupcakes for our local demonstrators.

Isis oh Isis you mystical child,

What drives me to you is what drives me insane

I still can remember the way that you smiled

On the fifth day of May in the drizzling rain.
