"Voices" receives Sesquicentennial grant

LITTLE ROCK--The Arkansas Civil War Sesquicentennial Commission has awarded seven grants totaling $11,958 for projects that will commemorate the war in the state. Among them was a $2,000 grant awarded to Mary Jean Sell for the "Voices from Eureka Springs Silent City Cemetery Tour."

Among recipients of other Civil War Sesquicentennial Grants in the local area was the Northwest Arkansas Civil War Heritage Trail/Heritage Trail Partners -- $2,000 for battle of Cane Hill wayside exhibits.

The deadline to apply for the next round of ACWSC grants is August 17.
