Top torte

Aaron Doss of Berryville displays his entry in the 55th annual Arkansas Dairy Foods contest in Little Rock. His recipe for"Bavarian Torte" took third place and a $100 prize in the Party Idea category. Aaron is the 11 year-old son of Barry and Connie Doss. Contestants were judged on the availability of ingredients, clarity and accuracy of recipe, serving ideas, preparation technique, following the recipe, taste and appearance of the end product, use of milk and dairy products, and originality. The contest is sponsored by Arkansas Farm Bureau, Southwest Dairy Museum and the Arkansas Dairy Cooperative Association.
