Really leaving town

Sunday, June 24, 4 p.m. at Chelsea's there will be an International Festival and Going Away Celebration for Laura Blue Waters, who is moving to Istanbul to teach high school art, and Gene Pierce, who is moving to Saigon to teach 4th grade. Zeek + 42nd Street --

an evening of fun and folly

Art + Film Sunday Night in Basin Spring Park starting at dusk will be featuring a short retrospective of Zeek Taylor's work along with the film 42nd Street, a Bubsy Berkley spectacle. Third Thursday! Sip and Support

Thursday, June 21, Cocktails for a Cause heads to Eureka Live from 5 -- 7 p.m. to support the Eureka Springs Preservation Society and ESDN. Whitley Starnes will perform and a boutique jewelry auction will be showcased by live models. The $10 cover plus 33% of drink sales are split by the organizations. Ozark Senior Providers

The next meeting of the Ozark Senior Providers Network will be June 26 at noon at the Carroll County Area Agency on Aging in Berryville.

The meeting will be hosted by Joni Moore from Hospice Compassus. She will be showing a video and giving a speech about Hospice and Hospice care. Joni is also providing lunch from Geraldi's.

Friends of the Barn potluckFriends of the Barn invite everyone to bring a dish to share at the Holiday Island Historic Barn on Sunday, June 24. Festivities begin with a meal from 2 -- 3 p.m., including a brief meeting with information about proposed rehabilitation of the main entrance. Learning Center summer program The Eureka Springs Elementary and Middle Schools, in partnership with Main Stage, offer a 21st Century Community Learning Center summer program for students in grades K -- 6 from July 2 -- August 4 (except July 4) at no cost to the family. Hours are 8 a.m. -- 5:30 p.m. and will include breakfast, lunch and snacks.

The summer program will include, but not be limited to, physical activities, visual and performing arts and will have a "2012 Olympics" theme. Academic tutoring/instruction may be part of the program. Please call 253-7716 for more information.
