The city-wide yard sale is in its 18th year and an estimated 75-100 people are expected to participate as sellers.
"The chamber decided many years ago to that a city-wide sale would be good for the community; it brings in people from out of town here to purchase bargain items from the community and make new friends," said the Chamber of Commerce.
Nancy Stainer, along with the 2012-13 junior class at Eureka Springs High School will be participating in this year's event to raise money for prom.
"Two years ago the junior class raised $1,200 for prom at the yard sale," said Stainer. A wide variety of items will be sold: golf clubs, furniture, fishing equipment, clothes and household goods.
Residents from Beaver to Holiday Island are expected to participate, as well as locals east and west of town. Yard sale map routes will be provided by the chamber and distributed at local convenience stores.
The Chamber of Commerce extended the deadline for those that would like to participate until Monday, July 23.
To sign up to sell items at the Yards & Yards of Yard Sales event, simply stop by the Chamber of Commerce located in Pine Mountain Village on Highway 62 East. The cost to be an offical Yards & Yards "yard seller" is just $15 and includes an official Yards & Yards Sale Participant sign. Those who sign up by Friday, July 20 will be guaranteed a spot on the official Yards & Yards of Yard Sales map.
