The city-wide yard sale sponsored by the Eureka Springs Chamber of Commerce is in its 18th year and thousands of people are expected to peruse the nearly 100 sellers participating in the event.
"The chamber decided many years ago to that a city-wide sale would be good for the community; it brings in people from out of town here to purchase bargain items from the community and make new friends," said the Chamber of Commerce.
Nancy Stainer, along with the 2012-13 junior class at Eureka Springs High School will be participating in this year's event to raise money for prom.
"Two years ago the junior class raised $1,200 for prom at the yard sale," said Stainer. A wide variety of items will be sold: golf clubs, furniture, fishing equipment, clothes and household goods.
Residents from Beaver to Holiday Island are expected to participate, as well as locals east and west of town. Yard sale map routes will be provided by the chamber and distributed at local convenience stores. You can also download a copy of here.
