The mark of his life and ministry was passion and dedication. As a preacher he was humorous and poignant. As a mentor he was wise and patient. Most importantly as a husband and father he was the ultimate example of love and faithfulness.
While in Eureka Springs, Rev. Kovalcik began working part time at The Great Passion Play. For over two decades he worked as part of the cast, as a security guard and officiated weddings. He loved entertaining and interacting with people.
Memorial service were at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at the First United Methodist Church in Eureka Springs with Reverend Dr. Timothy Kovalcik officiating. Interment was in the Beaver Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service, Inc.
