New Tastes in Town

Troy Johnson draws a sample of dark chocolate balsamic condimento at the tasting room. Samples of pairings -- blood orange-fused olive oil with espresso balsamic condimento, for example, will be offered at the pairings bar.

In Italy, it's called balsamic condimento, and it's made from grape pressings that have been boiled down to a thick syrup, then aged in casks. And Troy Johnson has 20 different kinds on tap, along with 30 varieties of fused, infused and organic olive oils, at the tasting room and shop that he and Steven Ketchersid are opening next weekend in Eureka Springs. Find out why you and your taste buds should be there in the Oct. 4 issue of the Lovely County Citizen.
