Mike Bishop, president/ CEO of the Greater Eureka Springs Chamber of Commerce, recently announced that Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce President Randy Zook will be the featured speaker at the 61st Annual Membership Meeting and Awards Banquet Tuesday, Nov. 15 at the Best Western Inn of the Ozarks.
Zook directs the daily operations of the State Chamber of Commerce and the Associated Industries of Arkansas, which serves as the home of Arkansas' business community. He was previously Deputy Director of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission and Chairman of the Central Ozarks Task Force for Economic Development. Although a native of Arkansas, he spent nearly 34 years, most as president/ CEO directing the 200 million dollar Atlantic Envelope Company in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Greater Eureka Springs Chamber of Commerce hosts this meeting and awards banquet every year for its membership. Not only will members and guests hear an informative and motivational message from Zook, but there will also be time for networking with other businessmen and women, hear an update on accomplishments of the chamber through 2011 and , everyone attending the banquet will receive a copy of the Chamber Board of Directors Vision Plan: 2012 & Beyond. There will also be an awards presentation recognizing outstanding individuals and businesses serving our community.
The social hour and silent auction begins at 6:00 p.m. with seating for dinner starting at 6:45 p.m. A limited number of tickets are available so interested participants are urged to purchase your tickets as soon as possible.
Tickets are available at the Chamber Visitor Center, or by phone with pre-payment. The ticket price is $28 per person. Come early and check out the silent auction. There will be many great deals on vacations, advertising, services and gifts. The money raised through the silent auction helps fund the operation of the Visitor Center.
