Sharl Taylor, left, presents Pat Kasner, Flint Street Food Bank director, with a $100 check donated by members of P.E.O. Chapter A of Eureka Springs at their December meeting. While food drive donations were down, many donations of money and food have come in, Kasner said, thanking Eureka Springs residents for caring about people having enough to eat. The food bank will be open Monday and Wednesday as usual the week after Christmas, but no midday meal will served on Tuesday, New Year's Day, Kasner said. P.E.O. is a philanthropic, educational organization that supports higher education opportunities for women through scholarships, grants and loans.
