Keaton Boardman makes Eagle Scout
Boy Scout Troop 67 of Eureka Springs is proud to announce the awarding of the coveted rank of Eagle Scout to Keaton Boardman of Eureka Springs. The few Scouts that do make it this far are truly an extraordinary group, and Keaton is no exception, troop leaders said. "It took an impressive amount of hard work and dedication for Keaton to reach his goal: six years, 37 merit badges, and a most outstanding, long-lasting Eagle project to benefit the community," the troop said in a press release. "This quiet, unassuming 17-year-old spearheaded a substantial construction project at the Leatherwood ball fields, one that will benefit generations of Eurekans to come." Keaton is a senior at Eureka Springs High School, and after graduation he plans to attend University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where he wants to study Mechanical Engineering.
