6:24 p.m. An officer responded to a report of a subject illegally dumping trash in a dumpster.

8:14 p.m. An officer responded to a report of a pig in the roadway but was unable to locate the animal. Maybe he crossed the road, but why?

Dec. 27

12:43 a.m. Carroll County Dispatch advised of a two-vehicle accident. An officer responded, but the accident was determined to be outside city limits.

7:30 a.m. A caller requested an officer to stand by while they got some belongings out of their apartment. An officer responded and stood by.

5:52 p.m. An officer responded to a report of suspicious activity and checked the area. The officer was unable to locate anything.

10:48 p.m. An officer responded to an alarm at an area business. The building was secure.

11:30 p.m. An officer responded to help a guest gain access to a hotel lobby. Upon arrival, the subject was not there and had gotten their keycard to work.

11:44 p.m. An officer responded to an alarm at an area business. The building was secure.

Dec. 28

11:57 a.m. A caller advised of a reckless driver who passed them in a no-passing zone. An officer responded and found the vehicle was going to the hospital for an emergency. No report was taken.

2:09 p.m. A caller advised of a male subject walking in the middle of the road, who might be intoxicated. Officers responded, and the subject checked OK.

4:08 p.m. An officer responded to a report of a barking dog and made contact with the homeowner. The officer did not observe the dog barking.

7:08 p.m. Officers responded to a local residence to conduct a welfare check. Officers made contact with the female subject, who was later transported to the hospital. A report was filed.

Dec. 29

9:47 a.m. Officers responded to an alarm at an area bank and checked the building. The building was secure.

9:54 a.m. An area nursing home called to have officers report an incident between residents.

12:14 p.m. A caller advised a male subject, who had been staying at one of their apartments and had been evicted, had returned to the property to collect his belongings and was waving a knife around. Officers checked the area but were unable to make contact with the subject. The property owners advised they did not want him back on their property.

1:10 p.m. A hotel clerk advised of a vulture with a broken wing wandering around the parking lot and street area. Game and Fish was notified to respond since it is a protected species.

6:57 p.m. An officer responded to a report of an erratic driver and observed the vehicle was not driving in a reckless manner. No report was needed.

8:04 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a runaway juvenile but were unable to locate the juvenile.

11:35 p.m. Officers checked the welfare of a female subject walking along the highway.

Dec. 30

12:45 a.m. An officer responded to an area motel to check to see if a reported trespasser was there. The officer was unable to locate the individual on the property.

12:50 a.m. An officer responded to an area residence for a welfare check after a 911 hangup.

1:33 a.m. Officers responded to an area motel for a possible trespasser.

4:59 a.m. An officer responded to take a report on criminal mischief done to a vehicle.

9:38 a.m. A caller requested an officer for a report of someone breaking into his vehicle during the night. An officer responded and took a report.

11:40 a.m. A caller requested an officer to respond for a disturbance at a local residence. An officer responded but was unable to locate anyone involved.

11:46 p.m. Officers responded to a report of barking dogs at an area residence.

Jan. 1

12:24 a.m. An officer responded to a report of a possible altercation at an area bar.

7:39 a.m. An officer initiated a traffic stop and arrested a subject for driving on a suspended license and failure to pay motor vehicle registration.

12:32 p.m. The owner of a local motel requested an officer to respond for an intoxicated guest who refused to check out of their room. Officers responded and arrested a subject for public intoxication.

Jan. 2

3:30 p.m. An officer responded to a local church in reference to a theft and took a report.

4:33 p.m. An officer responded to a local residence in reference to a report of an aggressive dog. The reporting party called back and advised she did not need the police because she spoke with animal control.

Jan. 3

12:28 p.m. Officers responded to a two-vehicle accident just outside the east city limits to assist with traffic control.

6:22 p.m. An officer responded to a local residence in reference to threats made and took a report.

7:35 p.m. An officer responded to a local residence in reference to an assault and took a report.

Jan. 4

2:21 p.m. An officer responded to a report of suspicious activity but was unable to locate anything.

3:30 p.m. An officer took a report on an automobile accident.

4:26 p.m. An officer responded to a local business for the report of a possible break-in. The officer checked the premises and found no indication of a burglary.

5:50 p.m. An officer conducted a welfare check on a male subject on a bicycle heading into the city. The officer did not locate anyone.

11:43 p.m. A traffic stop resulted in the arrest of a male subject for driving on a suspended license and speeding.

Jan. 5

7:07 a.m. A traffic stop resulted in the arrest of a female subject for driving on a suspended license, speeding and driving left of center.

8:30 a.m. Officers responded to a call for assistance from a bondsman looking for a bond skip at an area apartment complex. Officers responded and arrested two subjects on outstanding warrants.

10:15 a.m. A caller requested an officer to monitor the traffic on South Main by the Van Buren junction to slow people down. Officers were given information on the request.

1:07 p.m. A caller advised of someone in a pickup dumping an old beer sign behind their dumpster shed. Officers responded to get information for a report.

3:44 p.m. An officer responded to a local hotel in reference to an automobile accident and took a report.

5:32 p.m. An officer responded to a report of an intoxicated male and arrested the subject for public intoxication and on an outstanding Eureka Springs Police Department warrant.

10:08 p.m. Officers responded to an alarm at an area business. The back door was found open. Officers discovered an employee had set off the alarm and was resetting it.

10:31 p.m. An officer responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle and arrested a subject for violation of a protection order.

Jan. 6

12:41 p.m. An officer initiated a traffic stop and arrested a subject for multiple counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and careless driving.

2:23 p.m. Carroll County Dispatch advised of a fight in progress at a local restaurant and bar involving at least four people that had started inside and progressed to the parking lot. Officers responded, but all parties involved had left the scene before officers arrived. The parties on the scene advised the officers that the motorcycles had left westbound and the pickup driven by the aggressor had left eastbound from the restaurant. Officers later made contact with the alleged aggressor while responding to a 911 hangup from a local motel. He did not want to file any charges.

3:31 p.m. A server at the restaurant requested to speak to an officer in reference to the aggressor of the fight, who had walked out on his tab at the restaurant. An officer took a statement for the report.

8:06 p.m. A subject was arrested at a traffic stop for driving while intoxicated.

Jan. 7

12:25 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a disturbance and arrested a subject for public intoxication.
