Community center offers program for everyone

The Eureka Springs Community Center is inviting senior citizens to take part in Let's Move, a program featuring easy, non-jarring exercises in the new fitness center.

The half-hour sessions increase strength, balance and general fitness. They are held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays and at 4 p.m. on Wednesdays. The guided sessions are free for community center members or $3 for non-members.

General training on fitness equipment is offered at 4 p.m. on Mondays, 9 a.m. on Thursdays and 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Tuesdays. The gymnasium is open for walking from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays, from 4 p.m. to 4:50 p.m. on Wednesdays and from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. on Thursdays. It's free for members and $3 for non-members to circumnavigate the boards.

The Golden Sunrise Coffee Social will be held every Tuesday at 10 a.m., and it is open to community center members 65 and up only.

You can exercise your brain at Games People Play at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays and 10 a.m. on Thursdays. The community center provides tables, cards and board games in the lobby, and you may bring your own games.
