Eureka Springs School District is spending the summer improving its grounds.

On Monday night, Eureka Springs School Board voted to approve a $78,315 bid from Davis Construction to finish paving the high school gym lower parking lot. The board also voted to approve a track and soccer field engineering agreement, which includes leveling the track, moving discus and shot put outside the track for safety and adding 30-40 parking spaces for track and soccer behind the elementary school building.

The board accepted two transfers, one from Huntsville and one to Berryville, and agreed to keep meeting at 5:30 p.m. on the second Monday of the month.

The board's next regular meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19, at the administration building.
