Bell seeks District 97 seat in state House
Suzie Bell of Eureka Springs recently announced her bid to run for the District 97 seat in the Arkansas House of Representatives.
Bell is a 35-year resident of Eureka Springs. She worked as a speech language pathologist for 30 years, fighting for the needs of children and adults. Retiring early, she continued to fight for others when she and her husband, Dr. Dan Bell, founded Eureka Christian Health Outreach Inc. (ECHO) in 2005.
This free Christian clinic has been the beacon of hope for over 2200 patients who do not have access to healthcare. As part of the outreach of the clinic, she and her husband founded ECHO Village, an ambitious planned community of 26 small homes to care for those in need of decent housing or are homeless. They have just completed the construction of eight of the first homes, 90 percent through volunteer effort.
“Suzie understands the power of community working together for the greater good,” said a news release announcing Bell’s candidacy. And she is ready to put her tireless efforts to work for the people of District 97 to ensure healthcare, basic human rights, and safety are core values for all Arkansans.
