Arkansas Highway Commission approves bid for improvements in Carroll, Madison counties
The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid for improvements to a roadway in Carroll and Madison counties, according to the Arkansas Department of Transportation officials.
The purpose of the project is to overly 23.1 miles of selected sections of State Highway 23 between Huntsville and Eureka Springs. APAC-Central, Inc. of Fayetteville was awarded the contract for $6,982,304.05.
Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is expected in late 2020.
