Olga Marie Jensen, of Eureka Springs, Arkansas was born on December 27, 1943 in the Czech Republic. The daughter of Guenter and Katheryn (Cleghorn) Čenĕk. Olga passed away in Bentonville, Arkansas on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at the age of 76.
Olga was a Registered Nurse who worked surgery and blue rooms as well as the Director of the Eureka Springs Nursing Home (Brighton Ridge) for several years. She served as a member of the Arkansas State Board of Nursing and was a small craft airplane pilot. She volunteered at St. James Episcopal Church in Eureka Springs where she grocery shopped and cooked breakfast and Sunday Supper. She also shopped and cooked for Flint Street Fellowship for many years where she provided people with hope and friendship over food. Olga loved the people of Eureka Springs so she always went above and beyond to give back to her community and could be counted on to help when needed.
Olga is survived by her son Christopher D. Jensen, his wife Jennifer Jensen, and her grandchildren Christopher James and John Michael Jensen who all live in Maryland; as well as many other relatives and friends.
She is proceeded in death by her parents Guenter and Katheryn Čenĕk and her soul mate John Connolly, Jr.
The family will hold a Graveside Memorial Service at the Eureka Springs Cemetery on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at 2 p.m. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
