Temporary closures planned for Beaver Bridge
Temporary closures of the Beaver Bridge are expected to continue for three months, the Arkansas Department of Transportation said in a news release.
Crews will be replacing the timber deck and railing on the bridge over the White River.
Weather permitting, crews will temporarily close the bridge from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday for Phase I, which began Sept. 2 and is expected to continue for two weeks.
Phase II will begin upon completion of Phase I. The bridge will be closed continuously from 9 a.m. Monday through 5 p.m. Thursday during Phase II, with an expected duration of three months.
Traffic will be controlled by traffic cones and signage. Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
