Dale Hopkins Johnson of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, passed away unexpectedly on September 1, 2020 at the age of 77.
Dale is survived by his son Brent Johnson and his daughter-in-law, Twylah, his daughter Kimberly Jandebeur, and is youngest daughter, Willow Harwood. He is also survived by his grandchildren Lakyn Moore, Lauren and Kayleigh Johnson and Noah Jandebeur, and his great grandchildren Lily Moore, Cashton Parks, and Blakely Johnson.
He is predeceased by his sons, Joshua and Noah.
Dale was born in Kansas City, MO on December 19, 1942. After attending school in Tulsa, Dale moved to the Ozarks to live off the land. At the time of his passing, he was a local artist and made a living selling sculptures. Back in the day, Dale was a well-known massage therapist who quickly earned the nickname “Dr. Pain” for his deep tissue treatments.
Dale marched to the beat of his own drum. A holistic scholar, Dale was an avid reader and had an insatiable and infectious curiosity.
Quick with a smile, Dale had a genuine interest in everyone he met. His calm and friendly disposition never seemed to waiver. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
