The Eureka Springs Police Department might have your missing Christmas gifts.

A Dec. 17 post on the police department’s Facebook page says officers recently recovered three items, two electronic, that they believe are Christmas presents. Police chief Brian Young said it’s possible an individual stole the packages from someone’s porch, because the person who had the items could not provide documentation showing the items belonged to them.

“What we’ve done is ask the public if they’ve ordered certain packages and they haven’t arrived to contact us, because we may have them,” Young said. “Obviously, we’re not going to put exactly what it is because then they’ll say, ‘Oh yeah, I’m missing that.’ “

Young encouraged anyone missing a package to call the police department at 479-253-8666 and identify the item they are missing.

“If you haven’t had it delivered yet and you have proof of ownership, call us and let us know,” Young said.
