Cne Breaux and Ilene Powell of Krewe du Kork are this week’s Citizens of the Week. They were nominated by Jodie English for throwing the Barkanalia Benefit Dinner during Eureka Gras, benefiting Good Shepherd Humane Society. English said their enthusiasm and energy for the community is contagious. “Cne and Ilene of Krewe du Kork helped Eureka to rally during hard times,” English said. And the front line workers endangering themselves to keep people alive. The folks getting out in sub freezing weather delivering food and. Water and medicines to the elderly that are stuck at home. The police, the wrecker drivers, the citizens helping their fellow citizens during this weather/pandemic disaster situation we're going thru...
