The Eureka Springs Lady Highlanders didn’t play as well as they would have liked in a loss at Jasper last Friday, but they bounced back just fine.

The Lady Highlanders rolled to a 45-8 victory over Thaden in the home opener Monday night at Highlander Arena.

“We played much better,” coach Kyle Farrar said. “I didn’t get too down on us after we got beat at Jasper and I don’t want to get too high on us after beating Thaden. But we did play a lot better.”

A pair of seniors led the way for the Lady Highlanders as forward Mackenzie Loudermilk scored 14 points and guard Olivia Cross added 11.

Eureka Springs (2-1) has beaten Thaden twice. The Lady Highlanders opened the season with a 44-31 win on Thaden’s home floor on Oct. 19.

Jasper defeated Eureka Springs 47-18 last Friday. Cross led the Lady Highlanders with five points, while junior forward Katie Farrar scored four.

Eureka Springs will host Haas Hall on Friday for Homecoming.
