Scouting for Food kicks off 33rd year of helping needy

Thursday, November 11, 2021

For the last 32 years, area Scouts have been going all out for the needy of the Eureka Springs community.  This year is no exception, especially now in the middle of the pandemic.

This community service project is important not only for the scouts, which includes the younger Cub Scouts, and the older Scouts of Eureka Springs but also for those who need a little bit of help during these tough times. Going street to street, house to house, no matter what the weather really shows the devotion of the young scouts and those who help them.

Scouts and volunteers are canvassing the Eureka Springs area, attaching those rolled up white bags on doorknobs.

Starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, the scouts will start to collect the bags that you have filled, and take them to our local food bank. There will also be drop off boxes at both Harts and SunFest in case you would like to take your donation there.
