Christening of the Floats

Just as every ship needs to be christened and its crew blessed, so Mardi Gras floats need to be christened and its krewes blessed. And so it was at the Christening of the Floats Saturday as Father Shaun Wesley blessed the floats, christening them with holy water. As far as blessing the krewes, that happened inside the Rowdy Beaver restaurant and bar. All of the krewe and other celebrants were blessed very well as the Mardi Gras celebration continued into the night.
