Bring out the tots for the Christmas Parade

Bundle up and be ready for the show as the Christmas Parade takes to the streets at 6 p.m., Friday, Nov. 30.

  This year's theme is ‘Let There Be Light,' and all the floats will be lit up with Christmas cheer. The parade starts on upper Spring Street, by the Carnegie Public Library, and winds through the downtown area, twinkling with color and light. Last year's parade was decked out with 40 floats, so visitors can expect even more fun and spectacle this season! Cash prizes will be awarded in four categories, including Commercial, Nonprofit, Bands, and the ubiquitous ‘Other' category. First prize is $300, second prize is $150, and third prize is $75, so expect lots of friendly competition for the best and brightest floats anywhere!
