Love those cars

Americans love cars, and they love to look at cars. So what could be better than two car shows in one?

On Friday and Saturday, April 18-19, the 14th Annual Mustang Show and 19th Annual Carroll County Cruisers Car Show will give car enthusiasts something to get excited about.

The Carroll County Cruisers had considered making this just an Open Show, but Mustang fans responded so overwhelmingly that they couldn't say no. After all, Mustangs have had a very special place in the landscape for the last 40 years.

Pine Mountain Village is a great location, with plenty of parking for visitors. Climb to the top of the lookout tower for a truly unique perspective on the show, and enjoy a breathtaking view of the Ozarks while you're up there.

The schedule starts with early registration Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Pizza Hut.

For those who don't get registered Friday evening, registration continues on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Pine Mountain Village.

Cars will be on display all day, and visitors will have a chance to look over the vehicles at their leisure.

Judging will take place between 11 a.m. and 1:45 p.m., and at 2 p.m., the vehicles will parade through downtown Eureka Springs.

Then everyone returns to Pine Mountain Village for the Awards Ceremony at 3:30 p.m. Awards will be presented for Best of Show, Best Paint, Best Engine, Best Teen Entry, Best Club Participation and People's Choice. Dash plaques will be given to the first 100 Mustangs and the first 50 Open Show entries.

The host hotel for the event will be the Rodeway Inn-Swiss Holiday Resort.
