Mulberry Mountain Harvest Music Festival

The 3rd annual Mulberry Mountain Harvest Music Festival will take place Sept. 11 to 13 at Mulberry Mountain, located north of Ozark on Hwy. 23, the Pig Trail Scenic Byway.

Presented by New Belgium Brewing, this year's lineup of acoustic, jam band, folk, rock and Americana music will include: Leftover Salmon, Umphrey's Mcgee, The Wailers, The Avett Brothers, Perpetual Groove, Split Lip Rayfield, Hot Buttered Rum, New Monsoon, Big Smith, Great American Taxi, Cornmeal, BoomBox, Oakhurst, Hackensaw Boys, Blue Turtle Seduction, Green Mountain Grass, My-Tea Kind, Family Groove Company, Elephant Revival Concept, Dirtfoot, Ben Miller Band, Mountain of Venus, Speakeasy, The Shotgun Brothers Band, Charliehorse, Shannon Wurst and 3 Penny Acre.

Returning as festival emcee will be Vince Herman of Leftover Salmon.

The three-day music and camping event will include a variety of arts and crafts, delicious food, fire performers and hoop dance workshops.

Musicians will perform in the newly completed amphitheater, its stage constructed from cedar, native stone and rustic metal.

The festival helps support a number of environmentally focused non-profit groups including the Pig Trail Forest Preservation Society.

American Style honors Eureka Springs

Eureka Springs will be honored as one of America's top 25 arts destinations on Sept 13 by Zarks Gallery and American Style magazine.

The presentation of a commemorative plaque will be made before an audience of art enthusiasts, retailers and leaders during the second Saturday Gallery Stroll, to celebrate the city's recent designation as one of America's top 25 arts destinations.

This year, Eureka Springs was ranked in the top 25 among American cities for the high quality of its art galleries, festivals, institutions and events.

American Style magazine is a national arts lifestyle magazine for art enthusiasts, collectors and travelers.

Circle the Square to host 'One Night Stand'

The third and final performance of the Circle the Square free summer concert series will take place on the Berryville square on Saturday, Sept. 13 from 7 to 10 p.m.

Country band One Night Stand will perform. Shops and restaurants around the square will be open late. In the event of rain, the concert will be in the Grandview Hotel.

The Eureka Theatre Company (ETC) will sponsor a chamber theatre production of Spoon River Anthology on Oct. 17 and 18 at Gavioli Chapel.

Open auditions for male and female parts will be held Sept. 15 and 16. For details call (479) 253-7995.
