Citizen of the Week

Tuesday, October 21, 2008

We all like to think of ourselves as good-deed-doers, but how many of us would be able to save a life if we were faced with the challenge? The mysterious Cox cable T-shirt wearing angel who saved the life of an elderly man who collapsed in Harts Family Center last week not only did that, but she vanished without a trace immediately after, saying only "God had me here for a reason." Was she a volunteer EMT out buying the evening's dinner? Perhaps we'll never know. Whoever she was, her knowledge and grace under pressure saved a man's life, and for this we can only say "Holy COW!"

  • I don't know who the angel in the Cox T-shirt was either, but I owe her one great big debt of gratitude.

That was my father she saved.

"Thank you and God bless you. You are truly an angel to us."
