Phyllis Franklin Cantrell, a resident of Green Forest, was born Jan. 16, 1952 in Ephrata, Penn., a daughter of Elmer William and Phyllis Sadie (Gype) Beck. She died on Nov. 10 in Springdale at the age of 56.
Mrs. Cantrell attended the Full Faith Church in Eureka Springs. She was a Dietary Management Associate and worked with many charities in Harrison at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center.
On Nov. 25, 2006, Phyllis married Dewayne Lee Cantrell who survives her of the home. She is also survived by one daughter, Kimberly and husband David Camp of Eureka Springs; one brother, Elmer Beck and wife Karry of Texarkana; one sister, Velta Hughs of Wash.; three grandchildren, Meghan Edmondson of Eureka Springs, Arin Camp of Eureka Springs and Brian Camp of Baxter Springs, Kan.; three step-daughters, Lee Cantrell of Fla., Brook Cantrell of La. and Tabitha Cantrell of Springfield, Mo.; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Elsie Beck and one daughter, Tina Franklin.
Funeral services were held on Nov. 14 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel with Brother Rudy Sanchez officiating. Cremation followed the service under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service, Inc. On-line condolences may be sent to the family at nelsonfuneral.com.
