Citizen of the Week

In Matthew it is written, "So the last shall be first, and the first last." That's the way it is with this week's COW, Butch France. Throughout the recent ice storm, Butch was the point man for the city's recovery. In addition to his everyday work, which he has performed professionally in town for the past 21 years, he coordinated and arranged housing for linemen and tree trimmers from throughout the south and made sure no one was hurt. No one was injured and nothing caught fire. Since Butch lives just outside town and is served by a competing power company, his was the last house to be reconnected. He may have been last in that, but in our estimation, he's "first" among us.
