Jimmy owned his own business as a locksmith and worked in La Crescenta, Calif. and Eureka Springs. He was proud to be a Rotarian for 21 years and had a perfect attendance record. He was a Paul Harris Fellow and was a member of the Prescott Valley Rotary Club.
Jimmy was president of the Mountain Artists Guild and helped his wife, Dee, with her work as an artist.
Commemoration services were held on March 28 at the Unity Church in Prescott, Ariz.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Dee; mother-in-law Olive Kemp of San Morino, Calif.; step-mother Viola Comer of Lone Tree, Iowa; step-daughters Rachelle Joy (Kathleen Peppers), Raquelle Joy-Gluvna (Mark); grandchildren Marissan and Cameron Joy-Kurtz; grandson Dallon Joy-Gluvna; sister-in-law Ruth Kemp of Seattle, Wash.; brother-in-law Robert Kemp of San Francisco, Calif.; his special dogs, Dutchess and Duke; and his cat, Matt.
Memorials can be made to the Mountain Artists Guild or the Yavapai Humane Society.
