Citizen of the Week

Thursday, June 11, 2009

This week's Citizen of the Week is Jack Baker. His nominator writes, "My father, a WWII U.S. Navy and Marine Corps veteran, recently passed away and Jack Baker stepped in and helped my mother and myself with our grief. He handled all the arrangements and joined other American Legion volunteers in firing an Honor Guard salute for Dad. He is a long-standing Grassy Knob volunteer and has helped many other families in their hours of need. I wish there were more Jack Bakers in the world." So do we.

  • We are not at all surprised to see Jack as person of the week. He is a man who's friendship you can count on. He and his wife Tammy lead their life as good neighbors to anyone they come across in need of a hand. And, if you are lucky enough to be called his friend - well, you're lucky enough! Congratulations, Jack and Thank You, Pam & Denny
