Citizen of the Week
This week's COW is Bill Carmichael. His nominator writes, "Bill watched the destruction of Katrina four years ago on TV and said 'I have to do something.' The Red Cross was holding a recruitment meeting and the rest is history. He has worked for the disaster team ever since, traveling all over the U.S. wherever Red Cross is needed. Along with this volunteer work, he is also a traffic director for the Grassy Knob Fire Department, works in his church, and is right there whenever something needs to be fixed at ESSA. A friend needs a hand, he is there; a family member needs help, he is there. Volunteering is his life's work since he retired."
