Sleeper and Burton join The Art Colony

Shannon Sleeper of The Spiraling Paintbrush and Sarah Burton of Sarah Burton Fine Arts have combined their talents and skills to form a studio partnership at The Art Colony on N. Main St.

Both artists will offer workshops, including: art for self-exploration through painting for process and collage techniques; Italian renaissance lime fresco panels; classical oil painting in the Old Master techniques; do-it-yourselfer faux, brushstrokes and more; and decorative painting. The self-exploration workshops have already begun and are held weekly on Tuesdays (painting) from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursdays (collaging) from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuition is $15 an evening. No skill or experience is necessary.

Various mixed media will be used in these workshops such as tempera, acrylic, oils, egg tempera and collage.
