Elsie enjoyed spending time with her family and was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Oregon, Ohio. She and her husband, Glenn retired to Eureka Springs in 1988 and started the Flint Street Fellowship Food Bank and Soup Kitchen to help those less fortunate. Elsie also volunteered with the Salvation Army for many years.
Surviving are her children, Michael Johns of Clarendon, Penn., Debbie (Jim) Burke of Bowerston, Ohio, Kathy (Steven) Gettys of Conover, N.C. and Steve (Shawnelle) Johns of Rossford, Ohio; grandson, Tyler Johns; and brothers, Richard (Vicki) Braton of Osceola, Mo. and Stan Braton of Kerrville, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Glenn.
Services will be private with interment in Eureka Springs. Contributions in Elsie's memory can be made to the Flint Street Fellowship. Arrangements are being handled by Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Homes.
