Library to host calligraphy class
Eureka Springs Carnegie Public Library will host a morning-long calligraphy class taught by calligrapher Julie Turner on Saturday, March 20 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m, in the Meeting Room Annex at 192 Spring St.
Tuition is $20 and covers the cost of supplies, including a calligraphy pen, lined paper and a handout. Class size is limited to 12 students and is open to students ages 9 to 99.
Preregistration is required and available by calling the library at 253-8754 or dropping by.
Turner has been a calligrapher since 1979. She owned a calligraphy business in southern California, and has an extensive background in the field including teaching at various educational facilities and at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Mo.
