Citizen of the Week

Thursday, March 18, 2010

Eureka Springs Police Chief Earl Hyatt is this week's COW. His nominator writes, "I salute him for his dedication to his job and the safety of our town. He's Eureka's longest serving police chief! Before that, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He's an avid fundraiser for Special Olympics and co-organizer of the Polar Bear Plunge and Law Enforcement Torch Run. He helps Angel Tree and the Thanksgiving food drives. He implemented and oversees the G.R.E.A.T. program in our schools and helped develop the city's disaster-preparedness plan. He's a Rotarian and a member of the Blue Knights and led the 2010 St Paddy's Day parade as Grand Marshal." Thanks Marshal Hyatt.
