MARY "JACKIE" FANNING, a resident of Berryville, Ark., was born March 2, 1924 in Eureka Springs, a daughter of Albert J. and Clovie Marie (Jackson) Tucker.
She died in Eureka Springs, at the age of 86, on Saturday, July 24, her 68th Wedding Anniversary to her beloved husband, Curtis H. Fanning, who was by her side.
Jackie was an active member of the First United Methodist Church from the time she was two years old. She was a housewife and worked for sixteen years at Gerber Legendary Knives as a Customer Service Representative until she relocated back to Arkansas in 1981.
On July 24, 1942 she was united in marriage with Curtis H. Fanning who survives her of the home. She is also survived by two sons, David Allen Fanning of Lake Havasu, Ariz.; Dean Owen Fanning of Berryville, Ark.; one daughter, Clo Ann Jones of Milwaukie, Ore.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Norman Lee Tucker. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at the Eureka Springs United Methodist Church with Pastor Stan Adams officiating. Online condolences may be sent to the family at nelsonfuneral.com.
