Studio tour explores Eureka Springs

Thursday, September 23, 2010

The annual Eureka Springs Artists' Studio tour not only gives visitors a look into the life of the artist, it also takes them on a beautiful tour from Eureka West into the heart of downtown and out US 62E.

The free, self-guided event, held Sept. 24 --26, is a wonderful way to spend three cultural days exploring Eureka Springs.

Artwork exhibits and sales include orignal paintings and prints, pottery, fiber art, jewelry and other fine crafts. Demonstrations and Q & A sessions provide lots of interaction with the artists in their working environments.

Full color maps and brochures are available at Eureka Springs School of the Arts, Practical Magic Art Supply at The Art Colony, and at the Chamber of Commerce and Trolley Depot.

No fewer than 14 studios will be open to the public to offer a unique behind-the-scenes experience with 19 fine artists and craftsmen in their working environments.

Studio Tour hours are 10 a.m. -- 6 p.m. Friday & Saturday, and 10 a.m. -- 4 p.m. on Sunday.
